Microsoft Office 2010 is pleased to announce the release of Business Intelligence Add-In for Microsoft FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint in both Japanese and German languages.

The Business Intelligence Add-In is for FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint that enhances search capabilities specifically around BI assets including Excel files (XLSX and SQL Server PowerPivot for Excel) and Reporting Services files. It allows FAST Search Server to crawl an expanded set of data by crawling back end data sources Excel and RDL files are connected to. It also offers enhanced result descriptions and filters that allow the user to find the results they’re seeking quickly and easily.

These new downloads are localized. To download this add-in on Connect, you will need to change your language settings inside your browser under “Internet Options”. Please note, this release is for the frontend only. All frontends, regardless of language, require the English-only backend component available in the same location. Please refer to the documentation included with the backend download for instructions on how to apply the localized frontend.
