With all the PDC excitement and Thanksgiving over with, it is time to get crack-a-lack-in on our Fullerton Code Camp - the site is ready to go, and we need your help to REGISTER\RSVP and SUBMIT SESSIONS!!!!

1)    Save the date!

University of California Fullerton

2)    Register!

You can register (or log in) to the site here: http://www.socalcodecamp.com
Registration need only be done once, so remember that if you are already registered you can log in and just sign up for the upcoming event! Otherwise, register now and sign up! This gets you on our list of folks that wants to know about Rock & Roll Code Camp events. Register now, even if you aren't sure if you can attend in January...that way you are on the list to receive the notification emails with more information!

3)    Submit session!

YES YOU!!!! We are getting a lot of requests for "getting started" content as well as the advanced and latest technology stuff...so bring it!  We want your submissions ASAP!!!!
Submit sessions here http://www.socalcodecamp.com/sessions.aspx

We have room for over 150 sessions this time around and speakers are already starting to submit their sessions!

So far our SoCal code camps have been among the best attended in all code camps...and we think it is because we have a vibrant technical community hungry for diverse knowledge...so even if you want to deliver just 1 talk...we are happy...but if you want to do a few talks...or a whole track with your friends...please feel free!!! Also, if you can tell other smart GEEKS you know that can speak on any subject be it .NET, Java, PHP, Web Services, SOA, Web Development, Development Process, game development and the list goes on...please do!
Session logistics:

Sessions should be 60 minute in length including Q&A

You can use whatever slide template you like

You can offer talks on anything you like and think the community would be interested in

No sales pitches, just hard core substance for your peers please

4)    Help us find contributors!

We have lots of swag vendors, and a few local businesses who help us cover expenses for Code Camp...but if you know any companies that might be interested in sponsoring the event please let us know! We have a separate sponsor email that describes all of those details, just email Michele Leroux Bustamante (mlb@idesign.net) or Woody Pewitt (woody@pewitt.org) to follow up!

See you at Code Camp!!!! Sincerely, your humble code camp organizers :)

And don't miss my session on A Structured And Repeatable Approach To Building Microsoft Office SharePoint Solutions

The challenges facing developers who work with Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server are as deep and wide as the SharePoint platform itself. If you're new to this platform, the practices we explore will lead you in the right direction. If you're an experienced SharePoint developer, these tips should help reinforce your knowledge, encourage discussion, and ultimately lead to building great SharePoint applications. In addition, we will provide a number of online references where you can learn more about the topics we discuss.

Cheers
